“With each painting I enter the beauty and spirit of the natural world. The poetry of ever-shifting landscapes joins with my imaginings and opens a path for me to explore. I mostly start with my notes and sketches. I then return to my studio. However, I also paint Plein Air and then the painting is completed outside. I hope to capture the awe and energy of what it feels like to be fully present in the moment. My work fluctuates. Shifts and changes may be thought by some to be drastic, even capricious.
